Maintenance Margin Rate
The margin rate is an indicator to measure the risk of the position's margin assets. The maintenance margin is the minimum margin rate of the position. When the position margin rate reaches the maintenance margin rate, your position will be forcibly taken over by the system. We use the mark price to calculate the margin rate to avoid forced liquidation due to insufficient liquidity or market manipulation.
Tiered Maintenance Margin Rate
In order to prevent the impact on market liquidity and large losses caused by liquidation of large positions, we adopt a tiered position reduction mechanism. Each tier corresponds to a different maintenance margin rate. When the system determines that the margin is not enough for the maintenance margin of the current position, it will reduce the position to the position corresponding to the next tier.
